Bob Marley Comedian

INTERVALE, NH, SATURDAY, MARCH 13, 2010 – The Believe in Books Literacy Foundation will host nationally-known comedian Bob Marley at the Theater in the Wood, 41 Observatory Way, Intervale, NH. Showtime is 8:30, and tickets are $24 per person.

Originally from Maine, Bob Marley began performing standup comedy in his hometown of Portland. He moved to Boston early in his career, gaining experience in a city known for spawning comedy all-stars. He now has a weekly radio call in segment with several radio stations around the country called The World According to Bob. Winner of last year’s XM/Sirius Superbowl of Comedy, he continually makes new fans around the country.

Lincoln Woodstock's First Annual NH Maple Festival

The New Hampshire Maple Festival Weekend takes place during the last full weekend of March (March 27-28) and is a combination of activities, events, education, tastings, and visits to the sugar houses throughout the state of New Hampshire. Held in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, the NH Maple Fest is the hub of activity during the New Hampshire Maple Weekend when over 65 sugar houses across the state will welcome visitors.

Lincoln Woodstock's First Annual Murder Mystery Weekend

Join in on the fun during our first annual town-wide mystery weekend. Beginning at 10am on Saturday April 10, mystery HQ will open (Chamber of Commerce office, 2nd floor of the Lincoln Village Shops) and the scene of the crime will be revealed. Participants can pick up their "Mystery Packets" and begin following clue maps around Lincoln-Woodstock to pick up clues and interview suspects. By Sunday, April 11 at 1:00pm, turn in your guess of "Who Dunnit" at HQ before the live reveal of the perpetrator at the Loon Mountain Governor's Pavilion at 2pm.

2010 Northeast GeoCache Bash

Plans are well underway for the 2010 Northeast Geocache Bash! Spend all of Memorial Day Weekend caching in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Make plans to race in the 2nd Annual Northeast Geocache Dash, starting on Saturday, May 29 at 9am or just spend the weekend searching for caches on our "Top 10" lists. You'll be able to find the best waterfalls, scenic vistas, and one-of-a-kind spots in the White Mountains!

Community Events

Parker Hill Road Concert

Parker Hill Road will entertain at the Landaff Town Hall, Landaff, NH on Saturday, March 13th at 7:00 PM. The band's repertoire ranges from traditional bluegrass to modern pop tunes performed in the bluegrass tradition. Admission is $5.00 per person. All proceeds of this event to help finance the kitchen rejuvenation project of Landaff's quaint and historic town hall.

Children's Room Dedication and Open House

1:00 to 3:30 p.m. (formal dedication at 1:00 p.m.) At the Open House, the Children's Room will be dedicated in memory of Alexander Corey, "who instilled his love of books and reading in his family," said Catherine (Corey) Bedor. Songwriters - Join Us at Our Monthly Meeting

The Northern VT/NH Chap. of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) meets the third Thursday of each month at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury at 6:45 p.m. The NSAI helps songwriters improve songwriting skills, learn the industry, evaluate songs and nextwork on a regular basis.
